小威廉·蘇厄德·柏洛茲（英語：William Seward Burroughs II，1914年2月5日—1997年8月2日）是一位美國小說家、散文家、社會評論家以及說故事表演者。身為垮掉的一代的主要成員，他是影響流行文化以及文學的前衛作家。他被認為是“最會挖苦政治、最具文化影響力和最具創新力的20世紀藝術家之一”。

柏洛茲生平總共發表了18本長篇及短篇小說、6部短篇故事集和4部論文集。另外有五本書收錄了關於他的訪問及書信集。柏洛茲同時也參與了數量眾多的表演項目、音樂紀錄及電影演出。

Joan Vollmer (February 4, 1923 – September 6, 1951) was an American woman who was an influential participant in the early Beat Generation circle. While a student at Barnard College, she became the roommate of Edie Parker (later married to Jack Kerouac). Their apartment became a gathering place for the Beats during the 1940s, where Vollmer was often at the center of marathon, all-night discussions. In 1946, she began a relationship with William S. Burroughs, later becoming his common-law wife. In 1951, Burroughs killed Vollmer. He claimed, and shortly thereafter denied, the killing was a drunken attempt at playing William Tell.
